Zavvi which was formerly name Virgin Megastore was founded by Richard Branson in 1979, it grew through the years and in 1990s it was on its peak with the merger with our price chain. The megastore even became the international franchise of the Virgin Group but in mid-2000s they decided to sell their stores to different companies in different countries. Zavvi came into been in 2007 which was a result of management buyout and that made it UK’s largest independent entertainment retailer with 125 stores rebrand to new name and most of the employees were also now ex-virgin. First they had some good years but later they went into administration which caused their suppliers big losses, between all these messes The Hut Group in 2009 bought the right for online branding of Zavvi and late launched a new website with even more product range then before. Since then it has been serving its customers with so much new and cool stuff that you can think of.
